The Philippines’ Top 100 Blogs

December 19, 2008

For the past two weeks I’ve been working on a directory that ranks the top 100 blogs in the Philippine blogosphere. Called Ratified.org, it gathers data from Technorati and ranks blogs according to the number of incoming blog links. From an SEO standpoint, links are a measure of importance of a website or blog. It’s always easy to read a blog than actually link to it, right? Linking to someone’s blog means I’m giving it my stamp of approval. It’s like putting up a sign saying, “Read this blog, it rocks!” Imagine that a thousand similar signs have been put up on other blogs. That should mean something!

There are many other areas such as traffic, number of subscribers, niche and content that also determine relevance. Although Ratified.org focuses mainly on links and a bit on feed subscribers, I think it’s a reliable barometer on how well your blog is doing. If your blog isn’t ranked in the top 100, it can still be found through the search engine or the tag cloud. If it hasn’t been ratified, go here to submit your blog. Features include separate sections for the top rank gainers and losers for both Technorati and Ratified.org, as well as the most popular blog feeds according to Feedburner data.

If you liked Ratified.org please blog about it! To sweeten the deal, all those who do will be linked to on this post.

Thanks to Google Country Consultant Aileen Apolo for being the very first to blog about Ratified.org!

Credit goes to Abe for inspiring the whole idea of Ratified.org.

A typical hometown girl dreams of changing her life from miserable to glamourous girl. A story of a town girl who dreamed of becoming a flight attendant. Who believes that dreams never fade away. Yet, all the possibilties were open. And she grabbed one for her own.

Inspirational and contradicting in a sense that it makes us think that everyone deserves second chance. And having that second chance gives an opportunity of opening that door that had never been opened. And it’s matter of time and decision. Looking back at our sense that everything has a credit to live for.

The accidental husband

The movie Accidental husband isn’t just comedy but also a lesson that most husband would think of. It’s something that husbands out there should value.

It might mingle you and your wife watching it. Because it’s exciting and funny. It’s pleasant and at the same time ironic. But it was just place in the last part.

The reason why I picked this movie. Because I have a friend who’s working on the radio station. And his a newlywed guy. And I want him to watch the movie so that he can relate to it. It’s humourous and likeable movie. So prepare to watch.

[I was buffled about the fact that… Why is it that University of Immaculate Conception is not on the list. UIC is one of the best schools in Region XI. And yet, no one did noticed that. Well I think the schools needs more improvement to be a topnotcher. But will you believe that rumour has it that the only school that will only exist in the Philippines is UP and others…. I don’t think so.]

Twilight the movie

This year the movie twilight made a lasting impression over the movie. It sincered from everyone and has stayed over a month in the movie review.

It’s a mixture of gothic and new sense of vampire movie. It’s different from any other movie that was shown months before it was released.
